Accessibility

There is a wheelchair ramp on the water-side castle steps. The disabled toilet is without an alarm.
Each floor is separated by a broad staircase with 32 steps, and halfway up each staircase is a landing. No elevators. 

The car park is situated by the church, at a distance of 300 meters from the castle. Persons with disabilities are allowed park closer to the castle entrance.

Companions or helpers are always allowed free entry to the museum.

No dogs are allowed in the castle, except for guide dogs.

THE COLLECTIONS

Skokloster Castle, built in the baroque style between 1654 and 1676, is one of the mayor monuments from the historic period when Sweden was one of the most powerful countries in Europe.

GETTING HERE

Skokloster is situated on a peninsula in Lake Mälaren between Stockholm, Uppsala and Enköping, near Sigtuna and Arlanda.

THE CASTLE GROUNDS

The park has something to offer in every season and is always open to the general public. We welcome you to stroll down lime tree avenues dating back to the 1680s or play games on the extensive lawns.
