Good to know about lighting and temperature
- The upper floors don't have lighting or heating.
- Lighting and heating are only available on the ground floor.
- During winter, it becomes both dark and cold.
- Remember to dress according to the season. In winter, it is very cold in the castle, and in summer, it can get warm.
Bags
It is not allowed to bring large bags or backpacks. You can store them in the lockers outside the visitor toilets free of charge. Umbrellas are not allowed into the exhibitions.
Food & beverages
It is not allowed to consume food and drinks inside the castle. At Skokloster Castle Café, there are both indoor seating and during summer outdoor seating available. Here, freshly baked pastries, sandwiches, and homemade lunches are served. The café is open during the same hours as the castle (service takes place between 11:00 and 15.30).

Accessibility
Skokloster Castle has four floors. Since there is no elevator, you need to use stairs to access the different levels.
If you are unable to move around in the museum, you can still experience the exhibition Dreams of Skokloster on the ground floor of the castle. The exhibition showcases the castle's most famous objects from four centuries. There is an accessible toilet on the castle's ground floor.

Stroller
Strollers are not allowed in the museum, but you can leave them at the entrance next to the cash desk.
Changing Room
A changing table is available in the accessible toilet near the visitor toilets.
Pets
Only guide dogs and assistance dogs are allowed inside the museum.
Photography
You are allowed to take photographs in our exhibitions, and it's also fine to share them on social media. However, for security reasons, tripods and selfie sticks are not allowed. For private photography sessions, please contact the museum for information on accessibility and pricing.
Wi-Fi
We offer free Wi-Fi to our visitors. The username and password can be found at the bottom of your entrance receipt.
Lost & found
Lost items are kept in the museum shop. Please contact the museum if you believe you have left something behind.
